Braiden Little

Intro

My name is Braiden Little and after finishing high school, I pursued a career in technology retail for eight years. I learned alot about myself in this time, as well as good communication, patience and teamwork.

However, I still desired a different path in life and began studying Computer Science at Athabasca University(AU). Additionally, as AU is a online and self-scheduled school, the work I have done in my education has also given me self-motivation, a self-driven work ethic, and self-scheduling skills. The work at AU has also taught me many Computer Science fundamentals such as Python, Java, data structures, algorithms, and networking. I have also gained real world experience doing a work integrated learning project with ML4Cyber as my final project for my CS degree. This gave me hands on experience in machine learning techniques, Scikit-learn, Pandas, and Python. And now with my degree completed with distinction, I wish to begin my journey into Data Science and Software Development to learn and improve further.

About

A career in technology retail has given me a passion for technology, both in terms of software and hardware. I am always excited about the newest technologies coming out. Next, my passion for technology only became stronger once I started my BSc in Computer Science studies at AU. This is due to getting more hands on and building my own programs and delving deeper into the actual mechanics of software, computers, databases, and networking. Again, I am excited to work within the software development, AI, and Data Science fields to further my knowledge of software and develop my skills in a more practical manner.

Additionally, I also enjoy building custom PCs, and I look forward to working with IOT devices in the future, such as Raspberry Pi and Arduino to do more with computer hardware and embedded systems programming. In my spare time I enjoy gaming on my PC, and have recently starting weight lifting as well. Finally, I have also developed an interest in mathematics and economics from my studies at AU.
